Gender based violence during lockdown

Police minister, Bheki Cele announced that there has been 87 000 cases of gender based violence in South Africa during the first week of the national lockdown. This shows that certain people still see others as objects.
How loud can one cry to be heard?

This country has been facing this issue for quite some time now and it seems to be growing faster. These cases are living a concern for the victims because they will be forced to stay with their abusers during this lockdown.

If  you are at risk of abuse or know someone who is Report it to the GBV Command Centre: 0800 428 428 or *120*786#. This issue affects us all. We need to work together in fighting it.
