South African lockdown
President Ramaphosa announced the lockdown of the country. The problem with this announcement is that street venders and those who hustle to put food on the table for their families, should stay at home while the big retail stores are operating.
In my opinion i doubt the president considered the poor people. The least he could have done is to atleast offer them an insentive to support them throughout these twenty-one days.
This lockdown will force families to go to bed with empty stomach, while the parents are blaming themselves for not being able to provide. Its tochure for them. Its better to die of Coronavirus because its a deadly virus that cannot be cured, then to die of hunger that could have been prevented.
Lets get talking people. What are your views on this issue.

ReplyDeleteAnd if these vendors were allowed to sell whatever that keeps them alive, who was going to buy their goods cause we're all forced to quarantine. And it was going to be challenge for gorvernment support all the vendors all over South Africa. This is sad that they were left unconsidered
ReplyDeleteThe same people who are going to buy in these big shops were going to buy. Its even easier to buy from them because there are no long lines which also reduces interacting with many people
DeleteThis is so unfair cause they were hustling for their families, I don't even understand how is this 21 day Lockdown going to help since there is no cure
DeleteThis will lead to a decrease in the economy

DeleteYes being safe is important but so is having your basic needs
DeleteDo you think this lockdown will make a difference?
ReplyDeleteI do not want to lie I think lockdowns will not help because banks and other shops are not closed.
DeleteI personally think this lockdown would have been a success if there vaccinations going around during this time to protect us from getting this virus
DeleteI pray during this lockdown the will be a cure for this corona deases.
ReplyDeleteThat's our prayer too.
DeleteThis lockdown will entail an economic cost for the country

ReplyDeleteOur president should do something about this issue
ReplyDeleteI recently heard on the news that they will be allowed to sell only if they get permits from their councellor, hope that will make things easier for them to be able to continue feeding their families with the little they make.
ReplyDeleteLets hope the lockdown will alots...saving our lives
ReplyDeleteMmm this is so sad😐
ReplyDeleteThings are bad and it is going to be worse if the President isn't doing anything about this
